How Pablo works

Everything server admins need to know – from the first invite to security, minigames and Premium.

Getting started

Invite Pablo, log in to the dashboard and turn on the modules you need.

  • Invite Pablo to your server with “Add to Discord”. The bot only asks for the permissions its features actually use.
  • Then log in to the dashboard with Discord. You’ll see every server where you are an administrator or have “Manage Server”.
  • Every module can be configured per server. The bot applies dashboard changes right away, and each page shows whether Pablo is missing permissions for that feature.

Tip: Pablo can only manage roles below its own highest role – drag Pablo’s role high enough in the server settings.

Language

Pablo speaks English and German – per user or fixed for the whole server.

  • Under Settings → Bot language you choose “Automatic”, “German” or “English”.
  • Automatic: every member gets replies in their own Discord language. Messages in channels (welcome, logs, giveaways …) use the server language of community servers.
  • German or English: Pablo always replies and posts in that language. Slash commands are shown in each user’s Discord language either way.

Moderation & cases

Every action is logged as a numbered case – with escalation and temp bans.

  • Every moderation action creates a case with a running number, type, reason, moderator and timestamp. /case view shows a case, /case history a user’s history.
  • Under Settings → Warn escalation you decide after how many active warnings a timeout, kick or ban happens automatically.
  • Temp bans (/ban duration:7d) are lifted automatically when they expire.

AutoMod

Rules against spam and unwanted content, each with its own actions.

  • Every rule (spam, flood, links, invites, mentions, word filter, caps, duplicates) has its own actions: delete, warn, timeout, kick or ban.
  • Members with “Manage Messages” as well as excluded roles and channels are not checked by these rules.
  • Raid protection detects many joins in a short time and can trigger a lockdown that lifts itself. Join protection kicks, bans or times out accounts that are too new or have no avatar.

Phishing, honeypot & anti-nuke

Protection against scam links, spam bots and compromised admin accounts.

  • Phishing protection checks links against a continuously updated list of more than 20,000 scam domains and also detects fake Discord, Steam & co. domains like discrod.com. It is on by default as soon as AutoMod is active – and also applies to staff, because compromised accounts spread exactly these links.
  • Honeypot: pick a bait channel nobody should write in. Whoever does is punished automatically (softban, ban, kick or timeout) and their recent messages are deleted. Pablo keeps a warning message in the channel; with Premium you write your own text.
  • Anti-nuke stops mass deletions of channels and roles or mass bans and punishes the responsible account – even if it’s another bot.

Tip: Put the honeypot channel high up in the channel list – spam bots usually post into the first channels they see.

Levels, XP & ranks

XP for activity, level rewards and ranks with extra permissions.

  • Level n needs 25·n² + 75·n XP in total (level 1 → 100, level 2 → 250, level 3 → 450).
  • XP is given for messages (with cooldown and anti-spam), voice activity (only with other people in the channel), commands and the first message of the day.
  • Level rewards grant roles. Ranks with “from level” are assigned automatically; ranks can include permissions like an XP boost or DJ rights. /rank shows everything as an image card.

Economy & casino

A server currency with daily rewards, a shop and casino games.

  • Enable the economy in the dashboard and choose the currency name and emoji. Members earn coins with /eco daily (with a streak bonus), /eco work and by chatting.
  • In the shop you sell roles or items; members buy them with /shop buy. Admins adjust balances with /eco-admin.
  • /casino (slots, roulette, coinflip, dice) and /blackjack use coins within the bet limits you set.

Minigames

Duels, guessing games and community channels – with or without coins.

  • /tictactoe, /connect4 and /rps (rock, paper, scissors): challenge a member or play against Pablo. Against members you can add a coin bet – both pay in, the winner takes it all.
  • /hangman: the whole channel guesses letters or the word together.
  • The flag quiz channel posts flags automatically, /flagquiz starts a single round anywhere. In the counting channel members count up together – nobody twice in a row.

Tip: Coin bets need an active economy with the casino enabled. Games against Pablo are always played without a bet.

Music & radio

Music from links and searches, radio streams and sound filters.

  • /play searches or loads links and playlists. With DJ roles only the team may control playback – requesters may always skip their own tracks. /filter adds effects like bass boost or nightcore.
  • /radio play starts a stream; the queue is disabled in radio mode. Manage stations with /radio add or in the dashboard.
  • If a music server can’t load a track or stream, Pablo automatically tries the other music servers. You can see their state on the status page.

Community & server tools

Welcome, tickets, giveaways and everything else that keeps a server running.

  • Welcome cards greet new members with an image; the invite tracker shows who invited whom. Birthdays, giveaways, polls and suggestions keep the community active.
  • Temp voice gives everyone their own voice channel, stats channels show live counters, and backups save roles, channels and permissions.
  • Tickets and modmail give members a private line to your team; banned members can send a ban appeal through your own form.

Global Chat

One channel connected to many servers.

  • Enable the Global Chat in the dashboard or with /globalchat setup. Messages are forwarded to every connected server.
  • Mentions are neutralized, invites removed and links optionally blocked. Images and files are not forwarded (other servers only see 📎), link previews are turned off and phishing links are always stopped. Users can opt out with /globalchat optout.
  • When someone deletes their message, it disappears on every server.

Premium

A server subscription bought directly in the Discord App Shop – for the whole server.

  • 24/7: Pablo stays in the voice channel even when nobody is listening, and the radio resumes automatically after restarts.
  • Your own bot profile per server (avatar, banner and “About me”), six extra designs for welcome and rank cards and your own honeypot warning text.
  • Higher limits: 5 temp voice creators, 25 giveaways with bonus entries, 25 social feeds, 10 backups with weekly auto backups, 20 appeal questions, 100 custom commands, 10 stats channels and 50 shop items.

Tip: /premium shows the status of your server. If Premium ends, designs and texts stay saved and apply again as soon as Premium is back; the bot profile is reset to the default profile.

Votes

Support Pablo on bot lists and get rewards.

  • Voting for Pablo on the bot lists shown on the vote page gives 50 % more XP on every server for 12 hours, plus coins on servers with an enabled economy.
  • /vote shows when you can vote again.

Placeholders

Variables you can use in messages – Pablo fills them in.

  • Welcome/leave: {user}, {username}, {server}, {memberCount}
  • Level-up: {user}, {username}, {level}, {server}
  • Tickets: {user}, {username}, {server}, {category}, {number}
  • Custom commands: {user}, {username}, {server}, {channel}, {args}, {memberCount}

You can find the full list of commands under Commands.
